At PaymentVision, we know how to make transactions fly. Through the Q-Law system, using the new integrated electronic payments option, enable your collectors to be more productive by allowing them to perform data entry one time only with options for one time payments for cards and electronic checks, scheduled payment plans, and uploaded payments from self service channels.

First, we’ll see just how easy it is to construct an ACH payment plan from the Q-Law system with no duplicate entry required.

From the Q-Law Caseworks screen, click on pay arrange to bring up the payment arrangement screen. Within the auto pay tab, click on add new to add a new payment.

The system will prompt you if you wish to add a new payment. Click “yes.” Next, choose the payment type. For this payment, we’ll choose ACH. To make an ACH payment, enter payment amount. You can also add a convenience fee if applicable. Enter the bank routing number. The system will verify the routing number and pull up the bank name. Enter an optional check number, and enter the bank account number. Next, enter the name and address of the bank account holder. If this is the same as the information on file, click on the “Copy Debtor 1” button. Check the “Approve for Processing” box and exit to save the payment. The system will now ask if you’d like to setup a series of payments. We’ll answer “yes.” Let’s setup 11 payments with a monthly frequency.

The system allows me to specify a next due date. Click the “OK to Record” button to add this to our payment arrangement. We now have a total of 12 payments, including the original payment. Let’s exit the payment arrangement screen and go back to the main menu.

Next, we’ll enter a real-time credit card payment. This time, we’ll select the different case. Again, from the Q-Law caseworks screen, click on pay arranged to bring up the payment arrangement screen. Within the auto pay tab, click on “Add New” to add a new payment. The system will prompt you if you wish to add a new payment. Click “yes.” Next, choose the payment type. This time, we’ll choose credit card. To make a credit card payment, enter payment amount, add a convenience fee if applicable, select the credit card type, enter the card number, expiration date, and card security code. If the cardholder address is the same as the information on file, click on the “Copy Debtor 1” button. Next, click on “Get CCTRUSTID” to register the card with PaymentVision. When the request is done processing, click OK. The results can be viewed within the notes. Next, check the “Approved for Processing” button. The “instant online credit card” button will appear. Click on this button for real-time authorization.

Within seconds, PaymentVision returns an authorization response. In this case, our payment has been approved. Since the credit card was also registered with PaymentVision, the card data has been tokenized.

A token is like a substitute for the original card number. Future payments can be processed against the token without the liability of storing credit card information. By not storing card data in your business environment, your PCI-DSS certification requirements would be significantly reduced. With PaymentVision, you can also offer self-service option to your debtors.

PaymentVision hosts payments on the web and through an interactive voice response system. These payments can be retrieved in the Q-Law system as part of a simple daily process.

Also part of the daily process? Retrieving ACH returns.
